Hm, the 2 ROM files are identical, so is not that the issue. I guess your BIOS ROM simply does not match with the model.

USe the DOS disks. The EC disk has pec29_3.exe or simmilar.
I think there are 3 command switches: -i, -r and -t

I can only speculate that -i means "ignore", put this command in autoexec. ...

I did unlock a CF-29 once, so I guess the CF-30 will be the same.
