| I have gone as far as possible wasn't able to locate a non tcpa bios so can't go no further .
tried the swap of the chip and the bios but that does not work. |

| Sorry whats the EC, its kinda of fun messing with the board.
Also on a side note does anyone know what transitor gets dammaged if you connect a lcd to the board that has a different pin out. |

| Not sure I understand your last statement.
The bios chip on the t40 board is this the actmel chip the one you need to solder to unlock the bios password ? or is it a different chip , if so whats ... |

| I'm trying a new strategy, i have a working board and no tcpa chip but i have a donor board with the tcpa chip.
Do I simply need to swap the bios chip and the security chip over ? |

We need to dump the bios of the working laptop.. and if possible get a bios dump off a laptop with the chip and compare the 2. Or the other method to dump the ... |

| So to conclude if you take a tcpa chip and the bios chip from a donor board u can ressurect any other board which is lacking a tcpa chip, on the t40 series.
Or the other option is to get a bios dum ... |
