Hi Everybody!

I tried to dump the Supervisor Password of an Lenovo T510. Wires on Board are correct connected. Used a multimeter and checked it on the wire to the next contacts (red cycled) after the EEPROM.

I used the simple construction for my COM-Connector and my first looks like this

Tried also a second one

At first I had this bus error massage. Changed the wires on the back of the com connector, because the point of view of the drawing is a kind of irritation. After that the EEPROM was not available. GND got loose and I could dump a file now with lots of b7 b7 b7 b7 ....or something else. Connecting the GND wire with GND on board will cause the not available error. I have done it as subscribed. Entered BIOS (login screen), connected the wires etc. Tried with Dell Latitude D620 and Desktop PC on COM1. Tested my construction with your itester. Both turns to 1 and back to 0.

Got 4,66V at "1", -0,65V at "0" on SDA
and -0,61V at "1", 4,18V at "0" on SCL

I don't know what should I do next Sad

I tell you what is wrong:
switch the two resistors on the connector one to another. You soldered SDA out instead of SDA in and viceversa.

Also in this http://up.picr.de/19968629it.jpg the circuti is totally wrong and f..d up.

Hi Victor!

Thanks for your reply. I do not really understand what should I switch on the resistors. Both are immediately connected with the COM connector, than with the hubs and at last the Zeners to GND. I've done it like this:

OK, now I see why you swapped the wires. I nthis picture you soldered the wires to wrong pins - mirrored. Pin5 aka GND is on the other side.

See the correct one:

Victor - Best Man Ever! Very Happy

It worked! But now I have the problem to find the supervisior password in the dump file. It is not so clear like on the example pictures.
