Hello there,

years ago, I've bought the PC8394T Tools 1.0d to get the password from a T60. All wents fine and finally I've got it.

Now I'm sitting here in front of a X220. I used the same interface, that I used before on the T60.

I took the r24rf08.exe with the switches /x /d /i and I've got a BIN-file with 1024 Bytes of size.

Then I opened this BIN-file in ibmpass and...nothing !?

In the first Lines there I can read the Serialnumber but from 0x338 to 0x034f ther are only Zeros.

Where is my mistake ?

Thank you Victor...the CMOS-battery-removal did the trick.

Is it possible to recognize with a look at the Icons of the passwort-request, which Password is set ?

now the next problem appeared:

There is a HDD-Password set. Is the any possibility to get this Password ?

Not on X220, cause it uses a different encryption for it and HDP is always passphrased.
