can you please tell me what do i need to buy to build a interface for my ibm T41 ,it is blocked and it ask for a password, can you please tell me if you got any of this programer already builed and for sale.i do not know mutch about electrinic.

I think you should see the practice section above, just to figure out how to make one using a breadboard.
T41 works very well with SIPROG also.

If you really need a ready made one, contact us by email, but I strongly suggest you to build your own, is not too hard.

i made the interface and i tried my best but i couldnt get the key.now i have another problem the screen is balck and it is hardly to read anything since i opend the laptop to find the eeprom .please help

Do you know somebody, a friend perhaps, who can do it.
Because if you don't have some basic knowledge then it's very easy to screw it up.

hi again
the problem is not just key now. it is the black screen. my ibm t41 is completely black screen when i turn it on.U CAN hardly see THE WORDS.it is not bright anymore. before i opened the screws the only problem was key,now it is both.can u just tell me how to make it bright again.please advise Sad

Maybe you made a short circuit there and fried a fuse (common to the LCD inverter Vcc).


The LCD's inverter is not powered/damaged, this job needs a service engineer.

hi siako,

where is your location....????

try to check is there any connector that you forgot to plug in......perhaps the connector for the LCD inverter etc.
