Hi Victor

I bought a Brand new X1 Gen 7 I opened the box for the first time myselfand start it for first time. When I go into the BIOS it asks for password and I just hit enter without entering a password. I can get into BIOS but I can't change any settings.
A brand new thinkpad can come with a BIOS password ?

No, it never comes with a password.
However, in some Asian countries, in stores, I've heard it's a common procedure to open boxes and set supervisor passwords. Ridiculous, I know.

i have 2 more Thinkpads brand new with bios passwords,
can they be some company products and are pre order with passwords ?

I can't suppose anything but I am sure Lenovo do not sell laptops with SVP lock already activated, otherwise we should thank them.
