Hello,

I own an X1 Extreme Gen 1 and an X1 Carbon Gen 6 that are BIOS locked with Supervisor password. Can you unlock them remotely? If so, I will proceed with ordering SPEG and potentially additional services afterwards.

Hello,

Yes, we can do that.

SPEG requires a LPT port and 32bit Windows but it can program even the new 64Mbbyte SPI chips, in system

No worries, mate. I am a computer scientist, I have all sorts of PCs with parallel ports around here.

Are you suggesting that my X1 Extreme has a 64Mbyte flash? (X1 Carbon I am sure has the 16Mbyte BIOS.)

No, I am not suggesting that.

X1 Extreme Gen1 could have a 16Mbyte or a 32mbyte BIOS, we encountered both cases.

Ok, I checked that and mine has a 16 Mbyte (128 Mbit) BIOS.

I placed the order for SPEG and am waiting for it.
