I've read that the new package is able to read the password from a locked Thinkpad T60.
Is this really the case?
It would really help me out if this is so, because my son (who wouldn't forget his password after telling him to write it down) was able to lock his T60 after enabling the security chip from within Windows.
After the reboot it came up with the 0191 error, which presumably stands for his (forgotten) power-on password.
After contact with IBM they told him that the planar board would have to be replaced. So you can imagine my joy when I heard of this.
Hence my question, does this fix really do the job?
BTW I have high hopes.
Thanks |

To get rid of 0191 error, you have to simply enter BIOS setup and save the settings.
Well, if you know the supervisor password.
