I have searched endlessly and I finally came up with some good info. However, due to my lack of knowledge I am having a problem trying to understand the info. I came across a think pad 365 however upon booting up it askes me for a password. It gives me three tries and then it locks. I came across the info posted by Victor and it's as follow:
If is 2625 model try this:
1. Power off the computer.
2. Open the keyboard and lift the right-most section of the insulator sheet.
3. Push out the small door on the right side of the base cover.
4. Apply a short across the Power-On Password Jumper Pads.
5. With the jumper tool in place, power on the computer to clear the password.
6. Remove the jumper and power off the computer.
7. Power on the computer and verify that the password has been cleared.
My biggest problem is that I don't know how to due step 4 can anyone please help. |

I know the thinkpad 365 is outdated and in true reality useless but in attempting to due a favor for a close friend and knowing that there is a way around the password but being unable to bypass it really gets on my last nerve. So, if you wish to help I would really be thankfull. |
