Does anyone know where the G40 eeprom is located? It has an entirely different motherboard from any of the other machines and I would like to know where to start taking it apart. You can get the keyboard out, but you need to take off the LCD to get the palmrest off. I'm not even sure if it is on the top or bottom of the board. There are some pictures in another thread, but I cannot figure out the orientation.

The chip is on the top of the board, right near the Intel 82801 southbridge.

Thanks. I already looked thru that thread, but I looked again and I think the picture at the end of page 1 shows what I think is the battery connector, which would put the eeprom at the very front at the far right side, which means removing the LCD and palmrest
