Hi all,

first off a big thanks to Victor for his software!

I recently got my hands on an X30 with unknown password that was never used for 3 years because noone could manage to unlock it.

Using the simple connector interface I managed to get a dump from the Atmel chip (on the X30 it is very conveniently located under the memory lid).
I know that the dump is correct, because the top shows the right serial numbers of my laptop before I turn on the translation.

So I started IBMpass lite 2.1 and turned on the translation, tried the password that was then visible, but it still would not let me in.

I thought I might give IBMpass 1.1 a try but could not find it anywhere on the forum/website.

After digging a bit further I found that some other peeps had a similar problem and that their password was obviously crypted.

Any hints on how I can decode the crypted password?
If needed I can provide the complete dump of the chip.

*EDIT* YAY. I just had to type the password correctly. I read a 0 as O and use the positions on the keyboard with english layout instead of the german layout...
Big thanks again to Victor and his crew for this software! *EDIT*

I was about to ask you the eeprom dump, when I saw your last phrase.
I am happy for each one of you when you succeed.

Well done!

Suggestion:
Show Numbers red and Letters blue in IBMpass, to distinguish. Smile

No, is the font. I could change it to look like in DOS system and the zeroes will have a slash in it, but there are some ANSI limitations with these ones.

Anyway, keep in mind that zero is 0x0B in scancode.
