This one is what you need to find out. It is an 8 pin chip and it is small (Jedec SOIC).
BTW, this is from a Dell D505, consider it just as a reference. _________________ Victor Voinea

Open the file in IBMpass 2.1
Turn on the translation with AA button and see at 0x110 and 0x120:
"PRQDO1" for QWERTY keyboards or "PRADO1" for AZERTY
is with O "oscar" not zero!
[Edit] No matter the case, type it as you want _________________ Victor Voinea

Hey Victor!
I followed the thread below to unlock the bios password on my Dell Latitude D410 with a ST ending in 595B. But I have some additional constraints.....the boot sequence is locked by the password and only includes the Onboard NIC and Internal HDD. So I'm tied to the internal system......AND.......I also do not have a Windows Admin or Guest account information......so I'm not quite sure that I can follow your method
Is there still a way I can search for a 24CXX eeprom and read it out? And if so, would you be willing to walk me through it? This is a little out of my comfort zone!
Much appreciated. I've been locked out of this laptop for over a year!
