I saw again your pictures and I have an idea:
-try to remove the GND from the DB9 metal cover. Stick only to the COM port pin#5, which is the signal's GND. May sound weird , but the seria l port is using diferential voltage (+/-) and sometimes the PC's GND and the serial port GND is not 100% the same. The port is designed to provide about +/- 10V in respect to pin#5, not the general GND, which is not always the same thing.
Worth a try... _________________ Victor Voinea

May I give you an advice? Build the driven programmer, and you'll eliminate all the problems with the port signals, etc. |

Hi again!
Ok so now I've built the driven interface, I'm not getting 5.1V this time either.
Low of SDA & SCL is 0.32V and high 4.68V. Will this work? (I want to avoid soldering to much on the 24RF08)
I'm using a common ground for all components and pin 5 of the serial port, the negative pole on the three serialized batteries, is this ok?

Is OK for driven i2c programmer (not for SIPROG). Although you must have about 0.6V when low. Give it a try and do not forget the /x /d /i with spaces _________________ Victor Voinea
