Im having trouple with my T41. The well known Path lock symbol comes up in the left corner of the screen, when im trying to open or enter the bios, but if i take the hard disk out its no problem to enter the bios.
the question is:
is the eprom locked or the harddisk locked?

Im tryin to build a eprom dumper at the moment, but if the harddisk is locked, is it posible to remove the lock ??

all help will be appreciated.

I think is clear that at least the HD is locked (The HDP icon shows a cylinder too, check this out).

Reading eeprom is useless in this case. HDDs can be unlocked with HD security tools.

I think you are right, bc i just eprom dumped my ibm t41, the password is not in it, do i have to buy a new harddisk ? Or buy a harddisk opener that may work, it Costs 145$ way to much !!

Better to buy a new HD in your case, is cheapper.

For a T41? not at all. Very old models used to do that.
