Hello,
I got a TP 390x recently which asks for the HDP everytime I try to boot. The difference to most of the reports on other models here is that I can replace the original HD with one which is not locked for sure and it does still ask for the HDP. From this I would conclude that the 390x unlike later models also does save the HDP somewhere else. I managed to read the 24rf08 but could not find a HDP in the dump (see http://www.jens-herrmann.de.vu/mythp.bin) I did remove the SVP found at 0x330 but this did not change anything.

Does anyone have an idea what I could try to solve this problem?

Thanks

The 390X locks the drive using the SVP. Just type in the SVP you've found..

Hi Victor,

I tried that already, but had no success. Is there any other chip in the 390x where data could be stored or is the 24rf08 the only one? Or could you imagine that the HDP is in the dump but is encoded differently?

Thanks
Jens
