just bought 5 laptops from a pc shop that went bust sorted 3 out but stuck on the last 2 its a compaq hp 6510b with power on password set. any one know how to reset the password thats in it please

i think you must use the old trick,

the shorting method.

no battery,

no cmos battery

short the cmos + and -

then plug the poweradapter.

i think you have bypass the power on pass
