The schematic is in the software kit, you may build it or you can buy a ready made one from us, is not a big issue.

As I said, the unlocking information for X60/s comes with in the software kit. I can't be more precise than that, I am really sorry.

We haven't done any test yet on the tablet version of X61, but I would like to see pictures with your board to give you an accurate answer. Oh, and is not that chip..

I was so tired and depressed, i did breack a little plastic part near the pageUp key, and the chip wasn't the normal one , i just assembeld the pc whitout taking more pics , the front of the board is more coverd by a coppar foile and there is not much to see. the pc is just two months old and i fell like i loose the waranty if something happens...
thouse are the only photoes .
I am a student in first year of electrical technology, in sweden Chalmers uni. , but not so good in this kind of micro electronic yet , I just couldn't accept not remmembering my password .
I have now, if you some time need a test pilot we can have live contact and then i can take the borad out again. i dont have hdd or pop pass , just superviser (i can youse the pc as normal) so there is ītime .
you can email me at ....

good and bad news , the main board of X61 7767-bfg costs 2000$ WOW and the part i did broke just costs 20$ so I am not going to buy any of them.
I have been reading some more about that chip i found in my pc the main differens is that there is no singel SDA port but SI (serial in )and SO(serial out) and SCL (clock) so the bord (made by max232) can be easily modified to work with that ( maybe by just putting out diods and resistors ), how was reading and writing methods in other chips, are they like each other(or the same) if not the software needs to be rewriten to support the new chip.
got some more information from a site you maybe know
Quote:

There is no possible way to write-protect the eeprom, ... there is a risk that the eeprom contents may be corrupted, ... the eeprom contents become corrupted, that will then manifest itself as a CRC1 or CRC2 error ...
on a X60 this is not a big deal as once you access BIOS set up the CRC errors will be removed automatically by the BIOS code, BUT it is best avoided...

what do you think ? can it be true on x61 , what would happen if password is stored in a corrupted eeprom ? is there still going to be a password then ?

There is diskette called (ThinkPad Hardware Maintenance Diskette) in this case Version 1.73 or later and i think i have that (not tested yet cause no floppy drive in my pcs) , which can read and write EEPROM ,make backups, how in the hel is that possiable ? it can read and write uuid , serial number and man. date and some more stuffs why is that not possiable to read and write password string by software solution then (i know in most of caces the pc is almost dead but pop password can be cleard easily ) it is maybe possiable to modify this diskette to som how clear the SVP.

or maybe backup importent information clear the hole eeprom and the let bios repair it and put the informaion back into the place !

I am now intrested to learn about this kind of hacking ( it maybe take years for me) but I am starting now.
sorry , my english is not my best art!

Just focus on taking those pictures, and don't worry everything will be fine. I need to see if that tablet uses the same mechanism like the standard X61, OK?
