successfully retrieved password from thinkpad R52 with no problem at first try. the only regret is that, before i purchased the 8394 kit, i had already dis-assembled the laptop, thinking it's going to be like A21m (atmel 24rf08) on the back of the motherboard. but, with victor's guidance, and purchase of 8394 kit, was able to put the "thing" back together, open the memory door, and read the password on the connection points.
