Execute the reader with /x /d /i swithces:
"r24rf08 file.bin /x /d /i"
Makse sure you connect the SDA and SCL to the chip only after the laptop is on, always SDA first. _________________ Victor Voinea

as victor mentioned before, use needles instead of micro grabbers. i used to get the same error when i tried anything but needles. you only have to worry about 2 connections: sca and sdl. the ground, you can use an alligator clip and clip it to one of the copper motherboard holes. you may want to use a helper to connect the needles to the right pins, and then execute r24rf08 and dump the file. i get my son to help me. or you can do a batch file to execute r24rf08 with a 5, 10, 15 second delay, while you hold the needles to pin 8 and 10 on the 14 leg chip or 5 and 6 on the 8 leg chip.
cheers. |

Hi, the pin numbering always start from the mark on the chip...could be like a little dot or little hole...when you found that, you have found pin 1.
After that you just count CCW (counterclockwise).

Ane be´sure to put spaces betwen the "/x /d /i" and not write them together (/x/d/i), since if you do, you'll get "EEPROM not available" until you turn blue in the face.
There are programs where this doesn't matter, and programs where it is absolutely vital to separate the switches with spaces. This is one of the latter. |
