Hello everyone! I was hacking the password on R30 via the method mentioned at ******, I received the dump.bin of atmel memory and at the position of password 0x338-0x33f I have in the non-translated mode these numbers: 61 25 5d 5d 3d 01 ff 83 ..in the translated mode there are empty spaces almost everywhere. I have to mention that I use R30 with czech keyboard so I don't know if there are some misrepresented letters by translation these hex codes. Any help? Thank in advance! Martin |

I think the method and software is our, just narrated on some blogs...
You may see the tutorials here and there are some doucments coming with the R24RF08 and W24RF08, too.
To help you we need to see the dump, it could be TCPA lock but wanted to be sure.

The password is in alternate scancode. In IBMpass, click on A-A button then press Shift+F2. It shoud be "becca", maybe Becca Valentine - Andromeda series?
Please do not post dumps in the public forum, as they contains private info regarding your laptop's serial numbers, UUID and MAC! If you need our support email the dump to support (at) allservice (dot) ro.

Hi Victor, thanks for advice in finding the password. You are right, the "becca" was the correct one, then there was also another password "power-on" but with the Shift+F2 it was a piece of cake to resolve it. Maybe it should be useful to mention the possibility of displaying the alternate scancodes "Shift+F2" in the passlite utility itself. Anyway thanks for your very appreciated help! Now i have to solve to HDD pass but in the worst case I change the HDD to make this strongly passworded notebook working:o) |

Actually, Shift+F2 is the short link for Alternate Scancode in IBMpass in View>Tranlation menu...
You're welcome. _________________ Victor Voinea
