im a new member and have a locked x60s. i have read the forums and see the various solutions available to decode bios password. unfortuately the x60s seem to be the one that one has to pay for the unlocking program/software. what will be the total cost for the program/software needed, excluding the tools i need . in btw is there not a manufaturer password that an unlock the bios.

Hello,
No, there is no "MERLIN" password available.
For X60, as well as for all 60 series, you have to purchase PC8394 programming tools.

The interface is not mandatory, as we provide the schematic diagrams --but we recommend it.

Hi Victor, I had purchased the PC8394 many years ago from you. I have a IBM X60 motherboard that I could not find the PC8394 but there is a PC 82573, is there a change in the manufacturing replacement of the chip or is it hidden some where. Please Help.
