Hello,

I have an Easynote SJ82 laptop (S/N 140002830394; P/C PC15F001A9) with Phoenix Bios. The thing is that my son had nothing to do but to enter the bios and set a password which he can't remember now. When I enter 3 wrong passwords it says:

System Disabled
[00001]

Victor could you please generate a password for me please?

(I bought this laptop from Greece and in Romania were I live Packard Bell doesn't offer tech support; I sent an email to Greece but no answer from them.)

Salut,

Try these:
bp1v3lq
9a60gtw

Last time I knew, PACKARD BELL executive distributor was Total Technologies http://www.totaltech.ro/
But I don't think you'll find this kind of service available through a local branch, whatever country you chose.

Sanatate maxima!

Merci pt informatie, iti urez numai bine.

Ok, multumim. Pa/.

PostPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 6:40 am    Post subject: Packard Bell Mx36 - Supervisor Password Reply with quote

Hello,
First of all let me congrats you for the amazing community you have manage to build here. That been said, I have some minor problems regarding SVP on an Packard Bell Easynote Mx36 notebook.

I have found myself in the situation to forget the Supervisor Password.

- I have been taken apart the notebook piece by piece until I've reached the CMOS battery, so I've pulled out leave it 1h put it back ----> nothing
- Nearby was a button clearly for the same purpose (Clearing the CMOS) try even 2 or 3 times ----> nothing
- Idea load the last version of BIOS for the MX36 Notebook : \\-- ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/NOTEBOOK/EasyNote%20MX36%20series/Bios/ --//
[ - extract the image from the file (use uniextract) ]
[ - boot in DOS update the BIOS ] ---> nothing

- Finally after 2 day's or so stumbled upon something more serious :
\\-- http://removed --//
Arrow realize that Supervisor Password is stored in an integrated circuit.
At this point it's the third time I have disassemble that wacky piece of junk I don't have an Service Guide so I don't know for what I supposed to look.
The article above linked me here (one for us), so clearly I'm in the right place.

[...] LE

Thank you.

1. Could be an eeprom, but not the 24RF08.
2. That depends on the chip used to store the pass.
3. Nope
4. Hm, I don't think so.
5. Ultra DMA must be enabled otherwise the drive will be very slow in PIO mode. You can turn it off in Windows/Device Manager if you want, but really, you shouldn't.

This setting affects the Read/Write ATA comands, is not recorded into the drive.

Case closed.

P.S. Cazul a fost rezolvat.
