Hello Victor,
I arrived at your site through searching for info on "locked BIOS". Having read and understood the requirement to build the EEPROM reader circuit and using it in conjunction with your freeware software to obtain the password, a thought occurred to me, so my question is this. My thinkpad A30 battery charging circuit has failed. However I also have a spare motherboard which appears fully functional with the exception that it will not boot due to a unknown BIOS password being set. Would it be practical to succsessfully move the Atmel EEPROM integrated circuit (from my own laptop - which has no passwords set) onto the BIOS locked motherboard (in order to achieve a fully functioning thinkpad with no BIOS lock problems) and a working battery charging circuit. If this is not practical, I will try building the reader and see where that leads me. Do you build the Atmel reader yourself (to sell), if so at what cost?
regards, David. |

Is not practical and moreover the first laptop's eeprom may not work for the second one.
The best idea is to read the eeprom and simply find the password.
We sell the driven interface and you may order anytime www.allservice.ro/forum/dl/order-i.doc
