The bios upgrade is downloaded, and unpacked. But the bios file is in *.COM format.
How to covert? Or what can I do?
Please help!

Hi,
I was in that situation about a year ago, couldn't find a BIOS dump for a Toshiba Libretto U105 so I ended up paying USD$85.00 for a Response Code. You probably already know that some Toshiba laptops generate a Challenge Code (when you press CTRL-TAB-CTRL-Enter) to which you need to enter a Response Code that is generated with the laptop serial number and challenge code, probably only Toshiba can do this at the moment. With this Libretto I was able to dump the password protected bios chip before and after the password was removed and did a comparison, there was some changes in some bytes of sector D0000-DFFFF. Previously tried to erase the whole sector but I believe it has a checksum because each time the contents would return to their previous unmodified state. At that time I opened a topic:

In theory this should work for another Toshiba Libretto U100/U105, but I've been looking for some pictures of screen shots and all these Toshiba laptops that generate a Challenge Code have the same BIOS interface, they all look alike. So I was going to ask you if you already have dumped the firmware chip and if you can provide me a copy, then I can just replace the whole D0000-DFFFF sector of your password protected dump with the same sector of the BIOS dump that I have, there's a chance that it may work unless your laptop has also an eeprom, mine didn't have any.
Or
You can also search in forums where users upload a copy of their BIOS chip requesting modifications to it's functionality, with some luck you may be able to find the one you're looking for.
Let me know
