Confusing Thinkpad T41p Password dump

Hello all,

I've got a confusing dump here. Pasted below are lines 0x300 through 0x370.


0x300 28 -
0x310
0x320
0x330 $ I
0x340 $ I 2 1
0x350 G
0x360 A
0x370 2D 3 NT7 3

According to this, it seems to imply that the password would be " $ I".

That can't be the case. Can any one take a crack at it?

I'll upload the actual dump if that will help.

It looks like the spaces didn't come through. There are like 10 spaces in between characters.

The laptop must be TCPA locked, email the file to support-at-allservice.ro to verify it.

What is TCPA locked?

What I think happened is that it was asking for a hard drive password when I performed the dump, so what I'm thinking is to remove the drive, then boot and perform the dump.

Any thoughts?

I explained that we gotta see the dump and gave you the email address (that you may also find in the software's credentials).

I emailed the file just now.

Edit:

The email returned -

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

support-at-allservice.ro - corrected

Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Domain name not found

To correct the problem, I've uploaded the dump file to SendSpace.

Removed - don't post dumps here. use PM or email

The domain is allservice.ro, is that hard to see that? Confused
