Hi,

I have a ibm R40 model 2722-b6f, i can read all data inside the eeprom (1K) with the software r24rf08 without any trouble, my problem is simple at 338 and 340 i see only zeros no password, i change the scan code for thinkpad R and the same bug.

I do the same exercise with unsoldering the ic same reading and no password, what's wrong with my bios, i try all password i know and no error code from bios, when i press F1 insert password.

inside de .bin i see my model and serial number.

Do you have an idea what's the bug?

Thank you for your help[/img]

Hello,

There is no bug. If the whole area has 0x00 (in hex panel on the left) then simply SVP is not set. But if you see 0xXX in hex panel and nothing comes up in the text panel, then maybe it's TCPA activated.

If you have any doubts about that, email us the eepronm dump to support-at-allservice.ro

SVP was not set. The laptop is only locked with POP and/or HDP.
Remove CMOS battery (and the main battery) or replace/unlock the drive
