I have followed the tutorial trying to unlock a t61p but I seem to be getting nowhere.

Here's what I have done:

1. Soldered the SDA/SCL and GRN to the eeprom on the mobo. tested with analog tester and all seems fine on the eeprom side.

2. built a siprog reading .77-.78v on both sda and scl ends and around 8.55-8.59 before the 2.2Resistors.

3. when I do the R24rf08 dump.bin I get circuit not found or bus error.

I rebuilt the siprog twice.

What am I doing wrong?

To me, it looks like the diodes are upside down. Don't try anything until the interface is working and tested with itester!

I think is TCPA locked, but we gotta see it to be 100% sure. The email address is in the software credentials.

Hello all

I have thinkpad IBM T61, I forgot the supervisor password and after I read this forum, I try to pull the eeprom dump, the dump was blank and now I got error 0187 and 0191.

I remove the eeprom and I install again cerfully but no luck, I think the eeprom is bad or reset.

Can anyone help me.

Thank you

Mario you should have started a new post for your problem.

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-42321

Sounds like the eeprom is now bad. Sad

Sorry.

The eeprom is fine. The guy just couldn't make a valid interface to read it. And aparently he managed to screw the PCB circuits in some way, or maybe the eeprom was written with some kind of bogus software, or pins are shorted.

I bet, the eeprom itself is 100% intact.

Hi guys,

didn't want to start a new thread as it seems I have the same problem as tainja with an encrypted password...

Sent the .bin to support, could you have a look at it?

Cheers,
ym

I had a strange feeling so I've checked out the Lenovo Support on passwords and find out that I have a BIOS password set with this icon

EDIT: just figured out that bios and spv passwords has the same icon as they dumped this one (previously used for spv)

so this is an spv lock Smile

I don't know how this guy's doing this - but his service exceptional: exceptionally fast and exceptionally good.

Thanks Victor

ps. He might have cloned himself...
