Hello furrymerkin,
model number PCG-3G5L found in a label on the bottom of the laptop corresponds to model number VGN-CS320J found around the LCD screen or Keyboard, this model uses a different algorithm, after the third incorrect password it generates a KEY with an "Enter Onetime Password" message. Currently there's no free solution and you should try eBay, or you can try to dump the EEPROMs on the Motherboard and patch the bytes where the password is stored. |

Hello western37,
Sony Vaio PCG-5K1L corresponds to VGN-CR series which are not supported. Almost all VGN- models generate a KEY with an "Enter Onetime Password" message after the third incorrect password, the tool I use is only compatible with models that after a third incorrect password generate a "System Disabled" message.
Please note that the utility to generate the master password ONLY works with PCG-xxxx and some VGN-xxxx models (VGN-B, VGN-FS, VGN-S, VGN-T, VGN-TX and VGN-X), the laptop model number is found somewhere around the LCD screen bezel or close to the keyboard, NOT on the bottom of the laptop. |

It is a Sony Vaio, an older model.
Model number (label left side over the keyboard): PCG-GRV516G
Model number (label on the bottom): PCG-8F1M
The last 7 digits of the serial number are: 5121009
@ disabled or someone else
Please can you generate and give me the BIOS master password for this laptop.
Thanks a lot in advance. |

Hello drgn997,
thank you very much for the super fast feedback and your help.
I searched for weeks a generator, unfortunately could not find an appropriate, functioning.
The code has done its job perfectly.
I am very glad that the laptop is now working again.
Best regards,
tomalla |
