I spilled yogurt on my Lenovo G530 and its been slow every since. I've been using a external keyboard buts its still slow. Upon start up it takes its sweet time. I've opened the task manager when starting it up and I recognized that the yogurt has some how caused the core operation processes to start very slowly. What could be the problem?

Your best luck would be that the yoghurt accident caused some bad readings or timeouts for the HDD, so the HDD dropped down in PIO mode. See in Device manager if the drive is still DMA mode or not. If it is not then you must reinitiate ATA drivers

1. Disassemble the laptop and clean the motherbaord with alcohol and let it dry.

2. Normally there's a few tricks to return a drive from PIO mode in DMA mode, mounting it on the other ATA cable then back or uninstall the drivers, etc. But for a laptop is better to use the one described here:

-You may even do a system restore to the time before the accident happened. That will work in some cases
