Hello,

First off I want to thank you for the plethora of information and assistance you provide here in this forum and your website. Theres really a sense of community here which you dont find very often...

Anyway, after much reading and numerous unsuccessful attempts, i've come to a loss. I have an SVP locked T500.

I followed the instructions here: [link removed due to copyright infringement] and I purchased the 24RF08 Reader Programmer device, located the eeprom and soldered the SDA SCL and GND wires from the data line to the eeprom.

What I'm doing with everything disconnected:
-power on the svp'd tp
-connect the data line to the 24rf08 reader
-connect the serial cable(which is connected to another computer with the 24rf08 software)
- open a cmd prompt @ the r24rf08 dir and enter "r24rf08.exe test.bin /x /d /i"
-receive:ERROR: Circuit not found or bus error

I've tried every possible combination and and order of operations but am completely at a loss...any idea what i may be doing wrong???

A couple of additional questions aside from the above:
1) there are two set of pins on the 24rf08 reader, which one do i connect the data line to?
2) upon further investigation , it appears i may be missing the battery pack...? Was that supposed to be included with the package purchase, or is that separate? I've been powering the reader via the included USB cable, which im thinking(as i'm typing this) may be the underlying root of my problem....

Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thank you very much!

Regards,
Jeff

We only offer support for our products (meaning our customers). That interface is just a chinese copy and made with a lot of errors.
There are some websites selling that thing and we received a lot of complaints, but we can't help you here. Simply because you didn't buy the original.

Any other question just email at support-at-allservice.ro
Case closed.

Well thank you for the prompt response! Smile

Honestly, I didn't even put two and two together...i feel pretty foolish about that to be honest...Embarassed

Regardless, Do you happen to have a link to the original then, so i can purchase a working one from you?Laughing

The support alone seems to be WELL worth it!

Thanks again,
Jeff [/b]
