I have the same problem with my laptop.
The model number
on top it reads Sony Vaio VGN-FJ270 and
on bottom it reads PCG-7K1L
The last 7 digit of the serial is "3054111"
The error message goes
"key : F2H9-XR3D-R2VF-2KXK
Enter Onetime Password"
Could you get me the master-password please?

Looks like you will have to pay someone to do it then as the free software must not support your model. as previously said, have a look on ebay for unlocking your model.
Worth a shot though |

I tried both 7828015 and 3579685 with no success.
I tried 3579685 although it wasn't meant for me but because the 7828015 didn't work.

No luck on ebay either.
Hmm.. My Sony Vaio's model found on the screen is VGN-FJ270 and on the bottom panel it says PCG-7K1L
Last 7 digit of the Serial is 3054111

I had previously posted for help on my Vaio. The model is PCG-8A4L and the only part of the S/N i can make out is 283356302
Can you help me reset the password. Or a way to get past it? |

Without a proper serial # there's no way to guess it, if that is your question...
The serial is also written on the sticker near the SO_DIMM fasteners. If you can't find it, then dismantle the laptop and do it normaly: read the 2402 eeprom with r24c02 and reveal the password with IBMpass.
For all of you getting XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX message after 3 wrong attempts, spare your efforts for the moment.
