OK...I will get a couple of hours of sleep, then remove the whole motherboard from the base. Sad

Do I just post the pictures here?

Oh my! That was so much work involved, and I hope I'm able to get the notebook back together. Sad(

I do see a chip with a K_D 2 sticker on it, which I believe is the chip I'm looking for. Of course I don't know, so that's why I'm posting and relying on you guys expertise. The two pictures you should be able to expand without too much if any loss in quality, it is the top and back view of the motherboard. Please keep this on record for others looking for this information on the 6930p. If there's something else I need to take a picture of, then let me know?

Please provide information on how to read the eprom, I need to remove BIOS password.

I wanted to know the orientation of the SDL, SCA and ground. What is funny, is that the chip is accessible through the WiFi slot. Embarassed

That looks like the BIOS flash indeed.
You may need our SPEG programmer for that, check this link:

I took the sticker off, but don't see anything. Even looking at the eBay listing for the motherboard I don't see any information. I just hope I didn't waste my $50 bucks on the motherboard (motherboard with base), because I could have bought a new one for $139. Anyway to find what chip this model uses? The three pins for what I need to read the chip off of is still not posted. I did buy a reader and writer program from this site before, so I don't really know what else I will need until I read the chip. The one reason I took a chance on this motherboard, was the fact I have the writer and learned a little something when I got help here unlocking my Thinkpad.

Hey, it's SPI flash and it needs about 5 pins to be read out in-system, or all pins off system.
Is not working like a 24RF08 eeprom, if that is what you needed to know..

OK...I see I might need that program. Before I get that, if a listing has this on it "HP Elitebook 6930P Intel Motherboard TESTED" and it has BIOS P/W, do I have a dispute?

They received my MB and agreed to send me another one, but minus the base. Sad

So I will let you all know how this turns out, thanks!
