Ok, I explained that our generator works only for those models NOT showing a XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX "one time" code...

Looks like the master code you provided didn't work for me. Still got "invalid password" message here. Please help. My Sony Vaio even wont boot up because the whole system is password protected from CMOS/BIOS.

The master password that was provided to you didn't worked because your laptop is a VGN- series (look around keyboard or LCD screen for this number), not a PCG-, although on the bottom it shows a model number starting with pcg. |

Hi disabled,
Yes, you're right. I thought it only needs to provide the last 7 digits of the serial number on the bottom. Yes, the model would be VGN-SZ79GN/C.
Is there a way around to bypass the master password for this model freely?

There's no free solution unless you take your laptop apart and read the EEPROMs, there may be two on the motherboard and one stores the password. Only need to build an interface (programmer) to read the contents, make a backup and then patch the file and finally write the EEPROM back. There's information on the forum from other users with Sony VAIOs. |
