I need little help deciding should I repair IBM R61i MB with 4 beeps at startup - HMM indicates "Security Chip error".
I have licensed W24RF08 - do I need SPEG tools also?
What is needed for repairing this error - dump of eeprom or dump of bios? I can dump bios contents (off-board - on programmer) or should I try to dump eeprom contents using standard max based interface that I use for W24RF08.

Hi Danijel,
The error may come from the BIOS or GPU - for those with nVidia.
BIOS recovery service is offered for SPEG users only, so you gotta buy it eventually.
