I have an IBM TP A21e model 2632, showing an 0175 CRC2 error
I was wondering if you have a picture/Location of where the eprom is for this TP.
I have dismantled the machine and have a bare MB in front of me.
tell me what I need to get to correct this problem and I will forward the $.
Thanks

A21e model 2632...that is the one I've ever wanted to see.
A21e -2655 has the eeprom near the second memory socket exactly like t20-t23.
A21e -2628 has it on the other side of the board, also near the memory sockets.
I guess is 0175 CRC1 not CRC2. You can send the dump to support-at-allservice.ro to see if it worth the effort.

will the following components work for the circuit
They can be bought at Maplins
Component DT26D MAX3232CPE 3V/5V RS232 (and if yes would circuit be MAX232 circuit?)
Component QL80B this is the DIODE
Component DK47 this is the Resistor
What should the WVDC be for the Capacitor?? 5V? 240V? (as in the wolfmans post?) and does it matter if it is polarized?
would the following item do?
Component VH01B
Miniature 7mm Radial Electrolytic Capacitors Specifications:
Tolerance: ±20%
Temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
Cap Working Case Size (mm) Leakage
(µF) Voltage l (max) d (max) p
(DC)
0·1 63 7 4 1·5
Thanks for reply, have been doing other things for the past month and will attempt this now..[/img] |

MAX3232 is a "variation on the same theme" of the original MAX232, that works from 3V to 5V. (3) in its initials wants us to believe that
It uses also 0.1uF - 0.47 uF external capacitors (100nF-470nF). You can set 0.1uF.
C1-C4 voltage? Let's say whatever you want to be. Choose the smallest you got there.
Diodes have to be 1n4148, resistors 4.7K 0.15-0.25W.
Good luck! |
