i dont recall my SVP password and called lenovo support, they told me to replace motherboard with cost, and this leads me to some research and here i am now.
there are really not much info on internet regarding T410S SVP.

i have read through the instructions on how to retrieve SVP
but im facing a few difficulties now and hope someone could help answer.
1. i dont know for sure if T410S is using same eeprom chip as mentioned in forum.
2. the picture of motherboard http://www.allservice.ro/forum/images/t410s.jpg is not clear (even though it is big), so that i dont know the which pin is which.
3. i need a solution for interface, is there any product i can buy on market? i prefer getting an interface tool rather than hand make a new one.
4. is there anyway to dump eeprom from windows??

Hi,

1. Same eeprom. Model subversions may have small differences in design and the eeprom might not be located exacty as in the picture

2. Only 2 pins are to be connected: SDA is pin5 and SCL which is pin6. Pin1 has a notch above it and they are numbered counterclock wise.

3. Yes, we sell our driven interfaces for $35+$10 shpping. We have them in stock and you may order one. Contact support-at-allservice.ro if you have any inquiry.

4. Yes, but the block with the pass is protected and can only be read with a programmer. That means: No.

Hi,
i have got dump file, but it seems TCPA enabled. i have sent you email with dump file.
but i'm a little confused, as I research some info.
my TPM is active, that means SVP is store in TPM chip, right?
if this is the case, how could reset eeprom will reset SVP? (Im under impression that eeprom chip is different from TPM chip, correct me if im wrong)
could you please explain a little?

thanks a lot

Hi Kelvin,

I think I explained something in the email.

The eeproms stores info used by the internal systems including some configuration bytes.
