Hey, I have an Acer Aspire 5735 that has a locked hardware password and generates a "HDD password error code" of 09519. Any chance you can help me out?

Hi there,

Try H4XAK48.

See that numlock is disabled.

bob,
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately that did not unlock the hard drive and it still generated an error code of [09519]. Both numlock and capslock were off and I entered it in holding shift for only the letters. Just to be safe, I also tried with a USB keyboard.

The drive is apparently locked with "high" security and indicates the master password has not been changed. However, I have not been able to unlock it with the only master password for seagate I'm aware of, "Seagate" followed by 25 spaces. Any assistance or thoughts you can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time!

Is possible that the HDD as not locked originally in that laptop.
In that case the only option would be a dictionary or brute attack with EraseOn from HD security tools
