Hey,

got an old Fujitsu Celsius H240 and used the internal HDD Toshiba MK1655GSX. Did a power on password on the laptop and it seems that there has also been set an ATA PWD on the HDD! Whenever I tried to connect the Toshiba via USB or internal to another laptop, it is visible but I can't do anything on it, it's writeprotected.

Can anybody help me here? Don't have the H240 here, just another FUJITSU LIFEBOOK which is nearly the same.

Thanks!!!!!

Hello,

You must have the original laptop, if the HD security options was to stick it to the machine.

Anyway, after 3 trials does it prompt some numerical code?

Well, if you have a Lifebook there then type in these:
(valid for standard US QWERTY, not for some stupid French AZERTY)

3hqgo3
jqw534
0qww294e

This is just experimental, I don't think it will work this way...
