Hey Guys,
i have a IBM Thinkpad T42 and tried to unlock it, but i get the error
" ERROR: Curcuit not found or Bus Error", when i try to read the eeprom.
I think the curcuit is alright. What else could be the problem?

No problem, im just glad someone answered. Im not sure if i used all the
right things for the curcuit. I used 2x 5W 2K2 Resistors and 2x Z-Diode BZX79C5V1 R0 and as cable i used some cables from a monitor cable.
Here is the picture:

The diode at the SDA line (lower one in your picture) must be reversed. _________________ Victor Voinea

Hi,
That's a good thing, so the interface works.
Next, check the wires to eeprom. Put the GND wire to the T42 chassis (VGA out screws/nuts) and see where you connect SDA and SCL probes.
Good luck, pal! _________________ Victor Voinea
