I presume you ask about PC8394t programming tools.

Yes, the software works for all newer Thinkpad series, not tested for Lenovo 3000 yet.

Or how can I read the password ?

Hello,

AFAIK, V100 doesn't have the eeprom 24RF08.

Now, I am not 100% sure if this can be applied to your V100 too, but for the N100 there's a pad that can be used to reset the passwords.
The pad is labeled J1 right in front of the spring to hold the memory in place. Just remove the memory, put the tip of a screwdriver on the pad and touch the shaft to the spring. The memory is accessed by removing a cover on the bottom.

If you can't find the pad in that place it could be elsewhere, just take a few shots and I will be glad to help you find them.

I've looked at it and I saw a 25vf080B 8 Mbit SPI Serial Flash.

I've removed the memory, but I don't see J1 pad.

Look also under the extension slots: WIFI card, etc.
Should be some jumpers/pads there cause they're in all the rest of 3000 series, noted CLRP1, J1, etc

I've looked under WIFI card and It's nothing there or anywhere CLRP, J1 or something like this.

I saw here [removed] that this combination it's for resetting power on password request.

I've made like this to not request anymore the password on power:
1) Power OFF
2) Remove the battery
3) Remove back up baterry
4) power POST (Power On Self Test), wait till the end

after that shutdown, put backup battery and main battery back.

Power on, there is no request of password anymore, but if you try to enter in BIOS it will request it.

I saw that the methode with J1 pad it's for Lenovo 3000 N100-, C200 ....

I was talking about the BIOS password all the time.
On all 3000 series the POP is easily cleared by removing the CMOS battery, I guess everybody knows that already.

I was talking about the BIOS password all the time too.
I wrote the combination of removing asking for the bios password at POST.

I'll look for that pads on the mainboard.
