Hi
i have 2 T61 to unlock with TCPA set. one of the laptops is marked (by previous owner) as faulty. they both turn on alright so i think it may be easy fix.
my question is if i buy unlocking service from you for both laptops and the faulty one will be really faulty can i use unlocked eeprom to put in another T61 with password or am i gaonna get some errors?

also by buying W24RF08 license can i reuse key again (don't want to buy new licence every time i change computer or reinstal windows)

Matt

Hi,
1. You will get errors, the credentials will be different.

2. Since the license is per seat -one workstation the question has no sense, really.

Hello,

As far as I know, Ideapad Y710 needs a full BIOS reflash in order to unlock the password.
The BIOS chip is a serial flash that can be programmed with our SPEG programmer. http://www.allservice.ro/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1311

The procedure is to read the BIOS then erase the password in it (redoing checksums and all) and write it back, or simply flash it with a clean BIOS code.
I checked and I don't have a BIOS dump for it, so we will have to extract one from WFlash utililty at Lenovo..or read and clean out the original one.

If you want to discuss more on this theme, open up a new topic or contact support@ourdomain

hello. it's my first post here and I need help.

I have ThinkPad X200s with locked password. I saved BIOS with 24RF08 in .bin file.
I have done that with patcher and without pathcer. I cannot read BIOS password with IBMpass 2.1 (ibmpass2.1 cannot decrypt this password and I cannot find other versions of ibmpass)
I was trying to change View Translation but cannot read the password.

Here are my two X200s.bin files (with and without patcher):

[removed]

Please read for me my password if you can (because I cannot) and leave it here.

thx a lot

Hello,

The laptop is TCPA locked. You need these:

1. TCPA unlock service...$25
2. W24RF08...................$30

How to proceed further:
1. Download and install W24RF08 from www.allservice.ro/store/utils/ (on same PC used with reader is preferable)
2. Fill out the registration form register.doc (that is also in the kit) with payment details and hardware ID generated by the program and email it to us. PayPal account is support(at)allservice.ro - replace (at) with @
3. We will email you the activation keys along with the patched binary dump (we need the original dump to be patched) and the laptop will be unlocked in minutes.

Forward any question or inquiry to support(at)allservice.ro

X60s does not use the 24RF08 eeprom.

You must purchase PC8394T programming tools for that and the know-how comes with the software.

Victor!!

Foirst of all thank you for the greta information! I wanted to verify if you have any background or suggested approach for a Lenovo X220, supervisor password.

Also is the X220 eprom a 24RF08? This is a newer X220 i7 processor if it makes any difference.

Multumesc!

Hi

After seing the BIOS code, we believe that X220 can be done with one of the tools: 24RF08 tools or PC8394 tools.

I think X220 has the PS 08 eeprom which is again a 24RF08 clone. I can't confirm it, tough. Take a few pictures if you can, the email is support-at-allservice.ro

Cheers.

Dear victor and everyone there

I found this site and read the TP SVP unlock topics, prepare the circuit and at the first time I have a mistake (because of DB9 pinning opposite side ) Second time it was ok. But When I ran Ibmpasslite, at hex 338 there was garbage. I tried alternate scan, aa on-off but all garbage. where can I send the bin file for check. Thans for help.
