Power on laptop and HDD lock appears.

What is the procedure to remove HDD lock???

First time doing this.

Hi,

The HDD password can be cracked with eraseon from the HD tools but I need to know if the laptop had passphrase enabled.

If yo uhave access to BIOS setup then check passphrase status.

Can not get to bios.

Not sure if passphrase is enabled???

Then don't you think you must unlock the BIOS prior doing anything?

When I power on, the Lenovo splash shows and after that the HDD lock shows up.

I cannot access bios or boot menu.

So after I power on and the HDD lock is displayed I should read bios at that time???

Just a note the HDD is 128GB SSD.

No pain there

But did you take the HDD out? Maybe Bios was not locked...

Try that when I get into the warehouse tomorrow.

Called the warehouse and had one of the tech's pull the HDD and try to get into bios.

The bios is locked!!!

Will read in the AM and let you know what I find.
