I've been reading through the forum, and I am more confused than I was before. Can you tell me exactly what I need to purchase to clear or reset the POP password for Z61m, as well as the steps necessary to complete this task. I appreciate your patience as mine has been lost. I will gladly become a good customer as soon as possible. This machine has work that I need to retrieve, yesterday.

I am getting a message that says:
Error: 0271 : Check date and time settings
Error: 0176 : System Security - The system has been tampered with.

Is not the POP but SVP what you need to recover.
You need PC8394 tools, the interface is needed as well but this is not mandatory, you may build it yourself or buy it from us.
This is to unlock the laptop but HDD, if locked requires HD security tools.
