Hi

I need some advice, I have just installed Windows in my ThinkPad T61 and everything was fine but I could not change the boot order so I wanted to set bios to default by removing CMOS battery for about 1minut when I put everything back together and turn it on now I’m being asked for a password at boot, I’ve never set any password!!!
Any advice please will be helpful.. Shocked

Hello,

Clearing CMOS gave the Time&Date error so its asking for the Supervisor password.
Follow the tutorial (and other posts in this forum, I must add) and read P24S08 eeprom with R24RF08.

If the password is hashed (TCPA) then IBMpass can't reveal the password, so you'll gonna need W24RF08 and TCPA reset service.
