Dear abu1,

After recovering from the shock, I'll take a look at those pictures and dumps, but I gotta say the password must be stored elsewhere to my knowledge (and beliefs). Is always hard with toshiba, because there are so many models and subdivisions and variants and all...

Thanks for the files.

Hello Abu1, found this information while searching for a solution for a Libretto U105, hope it helps. Have you tried this? from your backup EEPROM dumps write FF to locations 0x10-0x17 and 0x20-0x27 (to remove the User password), and FF to locations 0x28-02F and 0x38-0x3F (to remove the Administrator password). Then write back the EEPROM to see if that solves your problem, let me know.

This same procedure was described for Libretto U105, but it assumes it has an EEPROM on the motherboard, which it doesn't (or couldn't find it). For now I'm just waiting to get the equipment and adapters to remove the TSOP, read it, modify it and give it a try.
