Anyone had luck with a USB to Serial RS232 adapter to provide a useful serial interface to the driven or non-driven serial programmer circuit?
My other option would be a PCI RS232 board |

Hi Jason,
You may use an USB2COM based on a UART, but I would strongly suggest you to use a PCI/PCMCIA card which provide a real port after all. Most USB2COM adapters that I've seen are just emulating RX/TX and the rest of signals are usually ignored. _________________ Victor Voinea

Hi,
I once tried with a BAFO BF-810 USB to Serial adapter and didn't worked for me using the driven serial programmer circuit, I did get a reading off the memory but it was different each time. Checked my board many times and finally worked with a real serial port in a desktop computer. Bought a Serial/Parallel PC-Card but haven't a chance to test it yet.
