Hello,

I have a problem with my r50 motherboard it gives no image and only 4 times 4 short beeps.

I bought this mainboard from ebay and it did not have the security card.

I now have two broken mainboards one with broken bios chip and one without a security card.

Is there a solution for this.

The motherboard you bought from ebat needs its original TCPA subboard, otherwise you won;t get rid of those 4-4 beeps.

...Or any subboard but the BIOS must be re-flashed with a non TCPA bios form a T40, then upgraded to the last R50 BIOS.
The other one (the old one) needs the same treatment.

We can do it only if we have the board in our hands, the BIOS chip will be removed and flashed in a programmer, then married to the TCPA chip.

Hi Victor,

I just read this article and I got an idea. Will a replacement of a brand new 24RF08 chip(with no data stored inside) solve this problem? Thanks.
