Hi

I've got all the hardware and software I need to read the dump out of my T61, but am having problems. Every time I try it, I get an error saying EEPROM Not Found. I've tried a Pomona SOIC clip, and also tried soldering separate pins to the wires and holding them to the chip.

Is there anyone in the Manchester area that can help me get the dump so that I can send it to Victor?

Apologies if this post isn't allowed, I just want to get my laptop fixed Smile

Have you checked that your interface is working correctly???
Use the itester program that comes as part of the download.

1. Connect interface to serial port
2. Open itester program
3. Click on the "Connect" button
4. Wait for aprox 5 to 10 seconds and "SDA in" and "SDA out" values will change from 0 to 1
5. After aprox 5 seconds "SDA in" and "SDA out" values will change back to 0.
These values must change at the same time, if they don't then the interface is not working and you may need to rebuild your interface.
