Hi everybody,
I'm considering trying to unblock my R60 BIOS Password, as it's locked in "user mode" so I can log into windows without any trouble. However it annoys me that I cannot change any BIOS settings and would like to fix this, besides I like a challenge! I've read most of the relevant posts and think I can muddle through most of it. The only real question I have is how difficult is it to disassemble the R60 and find/solder the eeprom? This does concern me, I'd love to hear from anyone who has done this successfully.
Many thanks in advance |

Hello,
Regarding the chip area, there are three kinds of R60 boards known so far. Two of them require only minimal dismantling, like keyboard and palmrest. the 3rd one needs to be removed from the base, but all in all, is not too complicated.
R60 require the PC8394 programming tools, tough. For any question regarding the commercial software, please contact us via email - support(at)allservice(dot)ro _________________ Victor Voinea
