Hi does anyone have any information on the TPM chip used for this laptop. (i.e it's location) is there any known way of unlocking as TPM is active and password unknown.

Many thanks

Hi, Thanks for reply.

No such luck. when booted a warning screen appears with a countdown timer saying the embedded security chip password cannot be verified. If F1 is pressed the password can be entered. Have seen on some sites about the 5 digit key. Came to the conclusion that it may be possible to read the TPM chip as on the IBM's ?

Awh wonderful technology.

No, is not the TPM.
You have to reflash the BIOS's serial flash with a clean dump or clean yours.

We have SPEG programmer for the serial flash. All you need is a clean dump for it.

Hi,

Just looked for it but we don't have a clean dump for this one.
We will try to clean yours, that is all we can do for the moment.
